Kauffman Light Bulbs

{{$t('general.by')}}
Simulates a grid of 400 light bulbs, randomly turned on or off. Each bulb is connected at random to two other bulbs. The state of a bulb at time n + 1 depends upon the state of its inputs at time n, governed by a rule that is randomly assigned. Rather than blinking chaotically, the system settles down to a steady state or a repeating cycle remarkably quickly. Left click the mouse to restart with a new pattern; right click to restart with all lights off. Stuart Kauffman originated this idea in his book "At Home in the Universe"
