Calculating Statistics for Compass values and Wind Direction

Averaging wind directions over time or compass values can be tricky as the mathematical average / mean fails around the transition from 360->0 and 0->360 deg. Likewise it is difficult to calculate the standard deviation. Luckily Yamartino has a Method for both (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamartino_method) This method works well for averaging compass values and finding the standard dev of a set on an Arduino as well here : https://github.com/SAIC-ATS/Algorithm The green cone is the +/1 one STDEV on the mathematical mean. The yellow cone is +/- one STDEV on the corrected mean.
