I started playing with this after I learned how to use noise. I also wanted to figure out how Keith Peters made his hair sketches (http://www.artfromcode.com/?p=1314). It's not quite the same, but that's a good thing. I learned that it's tough to find a balance between chaos and making something too patterny.
