This is a data visualization concept with biological data in mind. This is in part inspired by my recent visit to the envision centre where they do visualize scientific (mostly biological data) that often looks incredibly static and does not allow live data feed that could 'breathe.' Scientific data hardly has purposeful aesthetic quality, since each data point tends to be in strong interdependence, where a change in one will inflict change in another cellular datapoint. Traces again allow for an understanding what is common and what the recent history for each individual cell.
